The Dance Movement was formed out of sheer passion and appreciation for the art of dance.  We strive to provide a nurturing environment for all dancers, where they are able to freely and positively express themselves through the use of movement and dance.  Our goal is to help create fantastic, confident dancers who are able to fully realize their potential.  We want to help foster not only well-rounded dancers, but well-rounded people who embody poise, discipline, respect, and determination. The Dance Movement strives to employ individuals who are not just great dancers, but have a true passion and talent for teaching. When a dancer enrolls at The Dance Movement they can be sure that they will receive quality instruction, teachers who promote self-esteem and confidence, and mentors inside and outside of the classroom.

Kelly Smith- Owner/Director           

Kelly Smith was born in Dearborn, Michigan and began her dance career at the young age of 3.  She began dancing competitively for her hometown studio at the age of 6 and never looked back.  When Kelly was 12 years old, her studio owner asked her to help assist a few of the baby classes at the studio, and it was there that Kelly realized her true passion. She loved the thrill she got while helping students learn the art of dance. The smiles on the kids faces and the fun they had in her classes were the driving forces behind her decision to one day own her own dance studio.  After teaching at a studio in Michigan for 7 years and obtaining a college degree, Kelly decided it was time to branch out.  She moved to Colorado in 2010 and instantly fell in love with the state and the people in it. Kelly knew this was where she wanted to open her dance studio.  After lots of hard work and focus, The Dance Movement was formed.  Kelly hopes to provide classes where all dancers will leave with a smile on their face and the joy in their hearts that she felt as a child growing up in the dance world. 

Kelly currently resides in Westminster with her daughter, Prairie.

CLASSES START August 23rd! Your first month's tuition and registration fee is due at  the time of your first class.
